Finally, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has hit the screens and it’s enjoying a great run at the Box Office. This sequel to Ek Tha Tiger is performing really well and is receiving a good response from audience and critics alike.
We are excited as we got to see the Salman-Kat Jodi on-screen after years. Right from the time the trailer was released, there were talks about the excellence of this film.
On the first day itself, the film surpassed all other movies in terms of numbers, and became the highest Bollywood opener of 2017. We were sure that Tiger Zinda Hai will shatter not one or two but many records at the Box Office.
Today, we are here with a list of 10 records that it broke in the first three days itself;
1) Became the highest Bollywood opener of 2017 with first day collections of 33.75 crores.
2) TZH got the highest first Sunday opening. Earlier, this record was with Dangal, with 42 crores, but TZH broke it by earning 45.53 crores on the first Sunday.
3) Fastest Bollywood movie to enter 100 crores in 2017. Well, there have been many movies that got 100 crores, but in 2017, no movie could achieve this speed i.e. 100 crores in 3 days.
4) Got the highest single day collection. Happy New Year had this record as it got 44.97 crores on a single day i.e. opening day, but on the 3rd day of release, TZH broke this as it earned 45.53 crores.
5) Got the highest opening weekend. Earlier, this record was with Sultan, which earned 105 crores, but now, TZH overtook it. Here, you can’t consider Bahubali and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo as they had an extended weekend (Wednesday-Sunday). We are talking about the 3 day weekend here.
6) Became the 3rd highest movie to get highest day 2 collections, first 2 being Bahubali and Sultan. On the 2nd day, it earned 35 crores.
7) TZH helped Salman bag a record. He became the first actor to get the most number of 100 crore films.
8) Not only Salman, it also helped Katrina break a record. It’s her highest opener.
9) Has the highest 3rd day collections too. Dangal held the record with 42 crores, but TZH has broken i.
10) It had broken the advance booking record as well. As per PVR, Tiger Zinda Hai received the highest pre-ticket sales this year.
