We all follow western culture in our daily life like dressing sense , accent and many other things. We tend to copy others, especially Americans. Often, it is said that we must concentrate on our own life and not try to imitate others. But in reality, we should learn somethings from others, as they prove to be beneficial for us. For example, we might not like some things that Americans do, but when we analyze carefully, we can actually learn a lot from them. Given below are few things that even you will agree! Learn these things from Americans and you will surely thank them.
1. They openly and frankly talk about any issue.
Americans believe that nothing should be hidden; since, they are mature, they openly talk and handle sensitive matters.
2. They aren’t divided by caste system.
One good thing about them is that they do not make differences on the basis of religion and race. They treat everyone equally. In India you know very well 😀
3. They believe in a proper planning for any activity.
While we get stuck in deadlines and try doing all the things at once, Americans take 1 job at a time .
4. Crowded lanes in America look as if a child has neatly arranged all his car toys one after the other.
They actually follow the traffic laws and drive safely in their proper lanes. On the other hand, Indians try hard to break them 😛
5. They take responsibility for all their actions, right or wrong.
If they are wrong, they come out in the open and apologise and try to make things right. No fighting over petty matters, like we do.
6. They become independent at a very young age and strive hard for their survival in the world.
Most of them stop taking allowance from their parents at a very young age and become independent. While in India, children have to still ask for permission before going out for movies even if they are 20.
7. Everyone respects the work they do or the work others do.
Many people in India prefer to stay unemployed rather than doing a job that is below their expectations. But in America, all the jobs are respected.
8. Stringent laws combined with duty-bound citizens reaps a clean America.
No law can be imposed fully without the support of public. If the public does not take initiative, all laws will go wasted . Indians jago 😀
9. Americans can appropriately and sensibly utilize time.
They come on time, do their work and then leave on time for their next commitment. While Indians are known for getting late all the time.
10. You will not see Americans being just bystanders to abuse or killing of a life, animal or human.
If there is injustice happening, they will not just stand by and watch like many Indians do. They will take charge to stop any cruelty from happening. Also, they are very sensitive towards animals, unlike people in India who will trouble a street dog just for the fun of it.
11. They preserve the culture they follow and also respect what others believe in.
Yes, they have their own culture that they follow but they are open to other cultures also. While here, we oppose anything new and have things like honour killing and racism.
