Assignments are definitely a painful affair for all college students. Those strict deadlines are KILLING but every student tries hard to meet them; there are some who unexpectedly miss these deadlines and face it from the professors. Things get worse when something unexpected comes up during submissions, isn’t it?
Many a times professors are damn punctual and are in no mood to hear any excuse or explanation, have you faced this in your college days?
Just like other students, even this 19 year old student from Ohio University got an assignment with a stringent deadline; however, she couldn’t complete it on time. Instead of giving excuses, this girl chose the most HONEST way.

Yes, Rachel Harriman wrote a letter to the professor and gave an honest explanation as to why she couldn’t complete her synopsis on time. Want to know the reason? Well, it was due to an unexpected breakup with her BF.
Like a normal student, she also wrote how this won’t be repeated in future, LOL! Her email is going viral over the internet and even you’ll have a good laugh on reading it. Rachel shared this email on Twitter and since then, Twitterati is having great fun.
Check out the letter…

The letter read
“I am so sorry for how late I am submitting this synopsis. My boyfriend unexpectedly broke up with me yesterday evening and I was a complete, unfocused mess who did not account for such a time consuming hiccup to affect my Sunday productivity. This will obviously not happen again, as I am no longer ‘in a relationship’ and will have no one to break up with me next Sunday. Also, I am very sorry that this is kind of uncomfortable. It is for me too.”
Have a look at some Twitter reactions…

As of now, we aren’t sure about how the professor reacted on reading this email; one thing is for sure that honesty always helps. Rachel honestly told him whatever happened and it was good on her part, don’t you feel so? Hope for a positive outcome!
