“OK Jaanu”, the 1st awaited Hindi movie of 2017 had received a lot of hype among audience; however, the response on the opening day was pretty average. On the 1st day, the movie just minted 4.08 crores and this was highly disappointing. It should have earned at least Rs 6-7 crores, don’t you think so?
Audience is giving positive reviews but it seems critics aren’t satisfied at all. Many are of the opinion that it has a lot of similarity to Tamil movie “Ok Kanmani”. Although there is a good chemistry between Aditya and Shraddha, emotions are lacking. Shaad Ali, the director of the movie should have added some punch, which wouldn’t have made it look like a simple remake.

On the 2nd day i.e. the Makar Sankranti weekend, OK Jaanu showed a slight growth and earned 4.90 crores, bringing the total to 8.98 crores. This was not at all expected at least on Saturday, where numbers should have been super-high.
The trailer itself was disappointing, as people expected the “Aashiqui 2” magic. “OK Jaanu” was supposed to be a turning point in the careers of both actors but unfortunately, things turned the other way round.
Day 1 – 4.08 crores!
Day 2 – 4.90 crores!
Total – 8.98 crores!
