Tubelight opened to 21.15 crores on the first day; around 30-35 crores were expected, but the film didn’t enjoy a good response. Salman’s acting along with the content of the movie isn’t that good. Even then, Tubelight became the highest opener of 2017 and beat Raees. At one point of time, you will feel very emotional on seeing the bonding between Salman and Sohail, but overall, it has failed to impress us.
It was expected that on the 2nd day, the film will see a rise in numbers, but once again, there’s disappointment. Have a look at what Taran Adarsh has to say;

The film showed no growth on Saturday; it minted 21.17 crores and the total has now reached 42.32 crores.
The 2nd day figures are again less than that of other Salman Khan films. Let us have a look at the 2nd day collections of other movies.

Sultan- 37.2 crores!
Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo- 31.03 crores!
God knows what went wrong with Tubelight; usually, all his films are a BLOCKBUSTER, but we don’t think, Tubelight would be able to break big records. In 2 days, it has not collected 50 crores too; we are not sure as to when this film will enter the 100 crores club.
