The situation is getting back to normal for the Indian movie industry as people have left behind the fear of the COVID-19 pandemic and started watching movies in theatres. The Bollywood moviemakers are all set to provide some amazing entertainment to audiences as they are ready with some big budget flicks in the post-pandemic era. What makes it more interesting is the fact that some of these big-budget films are planned as trilogies which means three times more fun and entertainment for movie buffs.
Here in this article, we are going to list 5 upcoming films that will release in three parts:
1. Brahmastra:
There is no denying the fact that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer “Brahmastra” is one of the most awaited movies of Bollywood. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in important roles, this superhero film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and bankrolled by Karan Johar. The movie which will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages was initially scheduled to release on 15th August 2019 but due to pending VFX work and shooting, its release got delayed and then it got postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, the makers have announced 9 September 2022 as its release date and it will be interesting to see whether “Brahmastra” is worth all the hype and attention or not.
2. Ramayana
While Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer “Adipurush” is also based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and it will release next year, producer Madhu Mantena along with Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra is working on a trilogy based on Ramayana. While Madhu Mantena has refused to divulge the details of the star cast, he promises that the movie will have the biggest cast ever. The release date of the movie is yet to be announced but it certainly appears to be a treat to watch.
3. Chhatrapati Shivaji
Actor Riteish Deshmukh and “Sairat” fame director Nagraj Manjule have collaborated to make a trilogy on the life of the great Indian warrior and ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji. Apart from playing the lead role in the movie, Riteish Deshmukh will produce it as well. The flick will be made in Hindi and Marathi and the three parts have been titled as “Shivaji”, “Raja Shivaji” and “Chhatrapati Shivaji”. Though the film was initially planned to be released in 2021, it got postponed due to COVID-19 and no new date has been announced as of now.

4. Shaktimaan
Shaktimaan is a pretty common name among the 90s Indian kids as a superhero TV show used to air in the old times and actor Mukesh Khanna played the lead role in it. Now Mukesh Khanna in collaboration with Sony Pictures India has announced a movie based on the same superhero and it will have two sequels. Though there is no official news in regard to the actor who will play the lead role in the flick, there are speculations that Ranveer Singh will be roped in for the role.

5. Naagin
The Indian television audience is already a big fan of Naagin serial as already 6 seasons have been made of this show. Now filmmaker Vishal Furia and producer Nikhil Dwivedi have come together for making a movie on this concept and beautiful Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has been signed for playing the lead role of Naagin. No release date of the flick has been announced as of now by the makers but we are sure that Shraddha Kapoor will look absolutely stunning as Naagin.
