Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part One has crossed Rs 72 crore in advance bookings in India, two days before it opens in theatres on Thursday, 5 November 2026. Sacnilk figures quoted by Business Today on Tuesday morning put the total at Rs 72.91 crore gross, with over 18.5 lakh tickets already sold. For a film that runs 3 hours 15 minutes, people are clearly not worried about the interval queue.
Ramayana advance booking: the numbers so far
The figures below are as of 9 am on 3 November, covering the first few days of release. Gross numbers include blocked seats, which trade watchers usually treat with some caution.
| Show date | Gross (incl. blocked seats) | Excl. blocked seats | Tickets sold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thu, 5 Nov (Day 1) | Rs 32.37 crore | Rs 27.18 crore | 8.09 lakh |
| Fri, 6 Nov | Rs 15.15 crore | Rs 11.76 crore | 3.83 lakh |
| Sat, 7 Nov | Rs 16.8 crore | Rs 13.12 crore | 4.07 lakh |
| Sun, 8 Nov (Diwali) | Rs 7.87 crore | Rs 4.46 crore | 2.47 lakh |
Across all dates, the film has 59,822 shows listed and 107 housefull shows already. Without blocked seats, the total stands at Rs 57.9 crore.
Hindi leads, Kannada is the surprise
Hindi accounts for Rs 57.83 crore, or about 82% of the total, across 52,739 shows. Kannada is next with Rs 5.87 crore, which makes sense when one of your leads is Yash playing Ravana. Telugu follows at Rs 5.27 crore, while Tamil and Malayalam are smaller for now.
State-wise, Maharashtra is on top with Rs 14.02 crore, followed by Delhi (Rs 10.21 crore), Karnataka (Rs 9.89 crore), Telangana (Rs 5.37 crore) and Gujarat (Rs 5.26 crore).
Where it stands against Drishyam and Dhurandhar 2
By noon on Tuesday, Day 1 presales had reached Rs 32.53 crore from 8.14 lakh tickets, Filmibeat reported. That puts it just ahead of the Drishyam finale’s opening-day presales of Rs 31.65 crore and makes it the second-biggest Day 1 advance of 2026 so far.
The one film still ahead is Dhurandhar 2, at Rs 52.35 crore. With two days of walk-in buying left, Ramayana has a lot of ground to cover, but this is also a film that families tend to book together, often at the last minute.
Overseas and worldwide picture
Sacnilk estimates that worldwide advance sales for the opening weekend have already crossed Rs 100 crore, with overseas bookings above Rs 40 crore. Worldwide opening-day presales alone are said to be over Rs 50 crore gross. North America also gets paid previews on 4 November.
Quick recap of the film
