‘Rustom’ opened to a very good response from the audience and critics. On the other hand, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ witnessed disappointing numbers that the makers might have never even imagined. It seems the biggest mistake was to release ‘Mohenjo Daro’ with ‘Rustom’.
While ‘Rustom’ collected 14.11 crores on the 1st day, 16.43 crores on the 2nd day and 19.88 crores on the 3rd day, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ could just manage to collect 8.87 crores on the 1st day, 9.60 crores on the 2nd day and 12.07 crores on the 3rd day.
Now, the 4th day collections are out, let us see how the movies have performed!

Everyone expected that on Monday, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ would show some improvement in collections since it was a National holiday, but sadly the collections fell to 10.36 crores, bringing the total to 40.90 crores! It is still struggling to enter the 50 crore club.
Collections of ‘Rustom’ were better than the Hrithik starrer!

‘Rustom’ collected a decent 17.81 crores on Monday bringing the collection to 68.23 crores, thereby maintaining the trend of stable collections. It is all set to enter the 100 crore club now!
Rustom has also become the 2nd highest weekend grosser of 2016:-
1. Sultan- 180.36 crores! (5 day weekend)
2. Rustom- 68.23 crores! (4 day weekend)
3. Housefull 3- 53.31 crores!
4. Fan- 52.35 crores!
5. Airlift – 44.30 Crores
6. Mohenjo Daro – 40.90 Crores! (4 day weekend)
