It seems Nargis Fakhri is surrounded by bad luck from all sides. Earlier, it was reported that the actress bid goodbye to Bollywood and left to New York due to her breakup with Uday Chopra. However, Nargis had rubbished these rumors saying she went to New York since she was having health issues and needed a break. We also saw Nargis’ Instagram posts which hinted towards her happy single life.
Now, bad luck has once again gripped Nargis and she has been conned of a whopping sum. Yes, recently in a credit card fraud, the actress lost Rs 6 lakhs.
Well, these fraudulent transactions took place in United States and in no time Nargis lost Rs 6 lakhs; this is really bad, isn’t it?
How this happened?
Officials are suspecting that the fraudsters copied the credit card information and then made a clone card. 14 transactions were done and the amount totaled to $9,062 which is nearly Rs 6 lakhs.
The actress has lodged a complaint with Juhu police station on Monday as soon as this fraud was detected and investigation is going on. Sunil Ghosalkar, the Senior Inspector of Juhu Police Station stated that the swindlers used that clone card for withdrawing money and not for the purpose of shopping.
However, Nargis Fakhri was in Mumbai when all this happened. She said that she received text alerts from her bank which said that the credit card was used for shopping.
Another police official who is handling this case said
“We are going to get details from Kotak Mahindra bank regarding the fraudulent transactions. A probe is also under way to check why the bank did not realise and stop the transactions when they went on for four hours.”
