Just like other movies, blame game has started for ‘Mohenjo Daro’ too. It is very common that once a movie turns out to be a flop, people who are associated with it get miffed and blame each other, and now, something similar has happened with this Hrithik starrer. We all know that ‘Mohenjo Daro’ garnered very poor collections at the box office due to it’s clash with ‘Rustom’. In one week, the film could earn just Rs 53 crores, with no chances of improvement in collections in coming days.
Due to such poor response, Ashutosh Gowariker is pretty angry and has put the blame on UTV. Yes, he is miffed with UTV, the production house, because he wanted some cuts in the movie’s trailer, which UTV didn’t let him do.
Now, it is the trailer of the movie which increases or decreases the curiosity and excitement among the audience. It goes without saying that the trailer should be perfect in all aspects. Ashutosh wanted to monitor the trailer himself to see if it is fine or not, but UTV outsourced this trailer work to another company named ‘Trigger Happy Entertainment Company’.
Ashutosh Gowariker was against doing this but UTV asked him to monitor only the post production, and leave the trailer work to them.
As per reports, sources were quoted saying “UTV did a very unfair thing. At the end of the day, it was not their solo production. Ashutosh’s wife Sunita was also one of the producers.”
