Now, the actress is all set for Season 2 of ‘Quantico’ and amidst all this, she posed for the cover shoot of the magazine named ‘Refinery29’. Basically, this is a women-centric magazine and covers all important aspects of their lives right from beauty and fitness to a good way of living life.
Apart from posing, Ms. Chopra also preferred voicing her opinions on girl power. In her interview, the actress talked about the most sensitive topic ‘Feminism’. However, this time there was drastic difference in her thinking!
Her earlier take on Feminism!
Once, she had said
“A guy will be in my life only when I am in love. I don’t need a guy for anything else except for children,”
This was definitely very rude, as how can one imagine life without a man’s support? What if some male celebrity had passed the same statement about women?
Present take on feminism!
This time, once again, Priyanka has her take on ‘Feminism’, but of course, with a twist. Her present thoughts seem ‘Matured’ and ‘Practical’. Speaking more on feminism, Priyanka said “I don’t like the phrase ‘woman of colour’. I feel like that puts women in a box,”
Adding further, she says
“I’m a woman, whether I’m white, black, brown, green, blue, or pink—whatever. I think we need to start looking beyond that. It would be a big win for women, period.”
Usually, men have that typical stereotype when it comes to ‘Feminism’. They feel that women would dominate them or start hating them, but clearing this notion, Priyanka Chopra says
“Feminism needs men to understand that we don’t want to berate you or kill you or hate you. We just need you to stand by us.”
