Akshay Kumar is a popular actor known for his action-packed movies and great comic skills. Very few know that he is a person born with a golden heart. Recently, the Bollywood actor presented cheques worth 5 and 10 lakh to the families of soldiers who died in Uri.
He states,
“A medal or an award is good but not enough. More needs to be done for them and their families. They need money too.”
People who praise Akshay
In 2015, Akshay helped Rohit whose brother Rockey died during the Udhampur terrorist attack. He was a Border Security Force constable who fought two terrorists and killed one of them. Rohit adds,
“It’s a great step from Akshay’s side because he is the only actor who thought about us and what a family goes through when a soldier dies for the country. We felt really nice that at least someone spared some time for us.”
Nazia saved a young girl from getting kidnapped by two men in August 2015 in Agra. The 17-year-old was presented with many bravery awards which also includes Rani Laxmibai Award. But, it was Akshay Kumar who encouraged her. She says,
“I’ve been given many awards but to meet Akshay Kumar in person was something I had never thought of. It’s a big thing to get felicitated by him. I want to do good for more people, and meeting Akshay has encouraged me further because people like him will always be there to inspire you.”
