We were shocked to hear Om Puri’s disrespecful statements on Indian martyrs, on a live debate show. Yes, everyone slammed him for the way he insulted the Indian soldiers, instead of appreciating and feeling proud.
The major issue of debate was “Whether Pakistani actors should be banned or not”. On this, Om Puri had stated that there is no point talking about the ban since it is the Government who approves their visas and permits.”
After such disgusting statements, an FIR was filed against the actor at Andheri Police Station, and he definitely deserved it, don’t you think so?
Now, do you know a major twist in the story? Well, Om Puri has apologized for his disrespectful statements, can you believe that? Yes, the actor says that he has realized his mistake and is very embarrassed for the same.
He says “I am guilty and I deserve a punishment. I want to be tried by the army, I should be court-martialled. I want a constructive punishment,”
He further added
“The army should teach me how to use weapons and send me on the same site where that brave man was sacrificed himself for the country. I don’t want to be forgiven. I am pleading to the nation I want to be punished.”
