Yesterday, on 28th of October, 2 BIG movies clashed at the Box Office. On one side it was ‘Shivaay’, while on the other side it was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Yes, there was a lot of buzz surrounding both the movies, since the time they were announced. The flicks went through a controversial period too, when Ajay Devgn accused Karan Johar of bribing KRK with 25 lakhs so as to get positive reviews. Then, there was a ban on ADHM, following the Uri attacks! My God; so many tensions..
Finally, a smooth release happened and both the flicks got busy competing with each other at the Box Office. Let us see how much both the movies have minted on the 1st day!

Everyone expected a huge response for Shivaay since it is an Ajay Devgn starrer, but unfortunately it happened the other way round. Yes, it didn’t get an expected response and earned just 10.24 crores on the first day. This was the first Bollywood movie that matched the Hollywood standards; but still it seems this concept didn’t go down well with people. Yes, they love those typical drama and love stories! However, 10 crores is not bad either!
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil!

On the other hand, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil overpowered Shivaay and earned a whopping 13.30 crores on the first day. This movie was something similar to ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ and this is what drew people towards it. Moreover, since it starred Aishwarya Rai, people just couldn’t resist watching it.
