A couple from B-Town who constantly made headlines for their on and off relationship is undoubtedly Arbaaz Khan & Malaika Arora. For many months, they were in limelight taking into consideration their married life which finally seems to be on the verge of breaking after 18 long years.
Yes, you read it right! After lots of rumors and news, the estranged couple was reported to attend a counselling session on Tuesday afternoon at Bandra Family Court. This session is mandatory to proceed for divorce and as revealed by a source, the judge, who is appointed for the case, as well as a marriage counselor also attended the same.
As per reports, it was the only session that they have attended before the start of six-month “cooling-off” period. As far as their divorce case is concerned, its hearing date will be 11th May, 2017.
Malaika and Arbaaz will have a tryst in the chamber of the judge prior to the submission and verification of their affidavits. What’s more, it is anticipated that they will be granted a divorce by mutual consent on that day itself. However, no revelation has been made with regard to the terms of settlement.
Here’s what a source told BT,
“During the counselling session on Tuesday, Malaika and Arbaaz spent a few hours talking to the judge, and then the counsellor joined in towards the end. Usually a couple is asked to reconsider their decision before they part ways. They are also questioned about why they wish to separate, if they’re doing it on their own will and what would be the monetary and other terms of divorce. The same questions were asked to Malaika and Arbaaz and both of them handled the matter maturely.”
Finally, the 18-yr long relationship is coming to an end. Even though it might be good for the couple for their own reasons, kids generally suffer in such cases in view of the fact that they are not able to live with both mother and father at the same time and this unquestionably affects their lives to a great extent.
