Last week, Airtel rolled out its pilot services “Airtel Payments Bank” in Rajasthan and got a great response. This was to attract more and more customers, amidst demonetization. One thing that attracted everyone was its interest rate i.e. 7.25%p.a & a Personal Accidental Insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh for every saving account.
However, Airtel has launched yet another super-duper offer for the customers. For every rupee that the customers deposit, they will get 1 minute of talk time on their Airtel Mobile FREE FREE FREE.
Shashi Arora, CEO and MD of Airtel Payments Bank stated that
“We are leveraging Airtel’s telecom ecosystem to bring banking services to the doorsteps of every Indian. We are confident that this additional benefit along with the industry-best interest rate on deposits will encourage customers to open accounts with us and give a big boost to customer acquisition.”
For instance, if a customer deposits Rs 100 in his bank, he will get 100 minutes of talk time on his Airtel mobile number. Customers can use this talk time all across India, but only for Airtel to Airtel calls. Moreover, this offer is restricted only for first-time deposits.

This is the maximum a person can get, since the validity is just 30 days.
Even though Airtel Payments Bank is open for all, it won’t extend this benefit to non-Airtel users.
