Weddings are always fun, but one bad incident spoils everything. These days, people hire dance troupes to entertain the guests and add class to the wedding.
A shocking incident has come to light, wherein a 25-year-old dancer was shot dead at a wedding on Saturday. Pregnant dancer, Kulwinder Kaur had been called over for performing at the wedding ceremony of Local commission agent, in Punjab’s Bathinda.
However, she was shot dead by a drunkard, while performing on the stage and she died on the spot. The drunk man became very furious when he expressed his desire of dancing with her and wasn’t allowed to do so.
As reported by the sources, some friends of the groom were allegedly drunk and were firing in the air. However, they tried hard for joining the dance troupe on the stage, but were denied.
Police stated that when these men were not allowed to go on stage, one of them named Billa had a 12 bore gun and he opened fire, which hit the dancer in the head. Have a look at the video footage;

Police is of the opinion that this might be a case of “Celebratory firing went wrong”. Officials say that details would be revealed after postmortem is done.
According to eyewitnesses, “The dancers, they say were performing on stage when the celebratory firing began. A bullet fired by Billa got stuck in his double-barrelled gun and while he tried to unlock it, it had hit Kulwinder.”
This happened around 12.30 AM and soon after this, the music was stopped and Kulwinder’s body was taken to the civil hospital.
