After the news of plane crash carrying Brazilian football team, here’s another horrifying news that has shattered the sports world. Well, a massive fire has broken out at a Karachi’s 4-star hotel Regent Plaza, wherein the Pakistani Cricket team was staying. Around 11 people have lost their lives in this accident and around 75 people (Including foreign guests) have been injured. It started from the kitchen and spread all over.

Out of these, 3 Pakistan first-class cricketers got injured. They were at this hotel for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for a Super Eight match against Habib Bank Limited. The injured cricketers are Karamat Ali, Yasim Murtaza and Umar Amin.

One of them even broke his hand while escaping. Two other players, Sohaib Maqsood and Shaan Masood are safe but highly traumatized by the experience.

Jinnah Hospital’s Dr.Semi stated that some foreigners are getting treatments for these burns. The cause of these deaths was mainly due to suffocation. A CCTV footage shows that guests used bed sheets for climbing down from the windows of the hotel.
