Earlier, there were rumors that Kangana Ranaut is the highest paid actress in Bollywood, since she is charging a whopping Rs 15 crores per movie. This means that she has even left behind Deepika Padukone, who charged Rs 12 crores, for “Padmavati”, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie.
Recently, Kangana was the showstopper for Manish Arora’s collection at Blenders Pride Fashion Show. She was looking gorgeous in her pink and green lehenga choli.
However, some journalists questioned her about her charges and Kangana became furious. She had just one answer to give i.e. “How much I charge is no one’s business. It is only for me to know.”
Yes, she didn’t like how people were making claims about her fee-hike; Kangana said that no one must be bothered about her charges per movie.
One thing worth thinking is that Kangana neither accepted the fact, nor did she deny the speculations. What does this imply? Has her fees really been hiked?
If she is actually charging Rs 15 crores, Deepika would be left behind and her title of “Highest paid actress” would also be taken away. As of now, Kangana has 3 projects in pipeline; Rani Lakshmi Bai of Ketan Mehta, Simran of Hansal Mehta and Rangoon of Vishal Bhardwaj.
