Last year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced that he has an ambition to make a biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi, the Urdu poet-lyricist. Well, this dream project has come true and you will jump with joy after hearing who SLB has finalized to play the lead. Well, it’s none other than SRK; yes you heard it right; SRK would be playing the role of the poet in the movie, which is tentatively titled “Gustakhiyan”.
According to reports, SRK and Bhansali met last week and the complete script was handed over to SRK. Bhansali said that he will direct the movie in 2018 and it would have lot of poetry. SRK would be seen reading nazms and ghazals, isn’t it exciting?
For many people who don’t know who Sahir was, he was popular for his affairs with several women throughout 1950s to 70s, but didn’t marry any of them. Basically, the main focus of the biopic would be on his relationships with Amrita Pritam(Poetess-novelist) and Sudha Malhotra(Singer-actress).
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and SRK are coming back after 13 years, their last project being “Devdas”.
Coming to the lead actress, there are speculations that Priyanka Chopra would be essaying the role of Amrita; however, some also said that the makers have finalized Deepika Padukone. Nothing is confirmed as of now, except Sahir’s role.
