SRK and Mahira’s Raees, clashed with Yami Gautam and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil at the Box Office on 25th of Jan and while there was neck to neck competition between both the flicks, it was Raees that enjoyed a huge lead on the opening day. Yes, it earned 20.42 crores on the first day and on the other hand, Kaabil managed to get a decent collection of 10.43 crores, which is half of Raees.
This means SRK beat Hrithik by a very BIG MARGIN; but let’s tell you that nothing can be predicted on the initial day. It doesn’t take even a day for tables to turn, don’t you agree? Raees is enjoying a good run due to King Khan; even Kaabil can go ahead in no time due to the positive mouth publicity by people who have watched it. Whoever has watched Kaabil is full of praises for the movie.
Things seem to have changed on the 2nd day; let’s have a look at the collections!

On the 2nd day, Raees has earned 26.30 crores, which means 30 percent growth for it. Although the jump is not as expected, this figure isn’t bad. Weekend can script a completely different story; you never know. Now, the total stands strong at 46.72 crores; hope for a 50 crore club on the 3rd day.

On the other hand, Kaabil has shown an impeccable growth. From 10.43 crores on the 1st day, the collections have jumped to 18.67 crores on Thursday. Woah, 80 percent growth, Kaabil deserved this! If such figures continue, very soon it can beat Raees in terms of collections.
