Anushka Sharma’s second innings from her own production house Phillauri is garnering rave reviews. The movie that revolves around a friendly ghost Shashi is loved by the audiences in the theatre.
The trade experts predicted the movie would collect around 3 Crore and plus on day one. The movie has a local appeal to it and the presence of Diljit Dosanjh ensured that it will fair pretty good in the north areas of the country.

The first day figures have already surpassed our predictions. The movie has made 4.02 Crores and anything above 3 Crore on day 1 is really good. The movie is expected to grow on Saturday and Sunday, looking forward to a strong weekend. The movie is made in total budget of 21 crore out of which it has already recovered 12 crore through satellite rights and all it has to collect is 9 Crore in order to make profits.
The occupancy rate as per the early estimates were around 30-35% and now with 4 Crores plus on Friday, we can safely assume that the critics appreciation and positive word of mouth promotion will help in growing its business.
