The infamous fight between Kapil Sharma & Sunil Grover has cost the former a lot. He has lost the TRPs, rest and even health.
Everyone has noticed how the shooting of the past few episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show got cancelled following the issues with his health. Some really big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and others returned from the sets and it was a major embarrassment for Sony TV.
It was learnt that the channel is now planning to finally take the show off air as there are not enough TRPs and even Kapil Sharma is not keeping well. Meanwhile, the reports suggested that the famous comedian who was about to sign a 107 crore deal with the channel a few months back has requested them to retain the TV show and in return, he has slashed down his normal fees to half.
On the other hand, the whole controversy has worked in the favour of Sunil Grover. Post the fight there has been a huge increase in the interest level of audience for him which has resulted in some big offers for him. The talented comedian seems to be grabbing best from the situation as he has doubled up the fees.
As per the report in DNA, Sunil Grover who was earlier charging 7-8 lakhs per episode has doubled up his fees to 13-14 lakhs.
A source has been quoted as saying-
“Sunil has been getting some really good offers for shows but he’s focussing on guest appearances and stage shows. Surprisingly, while Kapil has slashed his fee, Sunil has almost doubled his.”
The source added-
“Sunil was previously charging Rs 7-8 lakhs per episode on Kapil’s show. Now, he charges around 13-14 lakhs per appearance.”
