Recently, we heard that Priyanka Chopra was paid an exorbitant amount of Rs. 5 crore for giving a 5-minute stage performance in an awards function. It seems that Bollywood actresses are now getting paid what they actually deserve. It was also said that Deepika also raised her fee before she was signed for “Padmavati” and now the latest news is that the beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has also joined the club and increased her fees.
Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous actresses Bollywood has ever had. Even though she didn’t have a thriving filmy career in terms of box office collections after marriage, it seems that 2018 has a lot of good things for the ravishing diva.
Her fans will get to watch her in three movies this year – “Fanney Khan”, remake of “Raat Aur Din” and an edgy thriller whose title is not decided so far and in which, she will be playing a double role.
Now reports are doing rounds that Aishwarya has demanded a hike in her fee and made it Rs 10 crore in view of the fact that she will be playing double role in the flick.
This is what a source disclosed while interacting with Mid Day,
“Since Aishwarya has a double role, the film will require extensive preparation. It will be a time-consuming project, which means she will have to let go of the other films that come her way. The fee she has quoted is fair. The producers have agreed to the amount without any negotiation. Though trade insiders are squirming at the possibility of a 44-year-old female actor walking home with a fat pay quench, producer Prernaa Arora believes that Ash is putting a lot at stake for her film, and the fee is warranted.”
Talking about multiple collaborations with Aish, Prernaa said,
“Working with Aishwarya on Fanney Khan has been a pleasure. Now, there are two more films we are collaborating on with her. Siddharth Anand will be co-producing the film with me, which is an edgy thriller. This film will see Aishwarya in a double role and we will soon finalise the leading man opposite her. Talking about the remake of Raat Aur Din, it will be a homage to Nargisji and is a special project for all of us. Aishwarya has already said that she would love to play the main role. I have also discussed the project with Sanjay sir (Dutt), and he has approved of the idea and our choice of Ash to play the role originally essayed by his late actress-mother.”
It’s not for the first time that Aish will portray double role on the silver screen. In fact, in her first film named “Iruvar” and later in “Jeans”, she was seen playing a dual role.
