Shakib Al Hasan Asked His Team To Come Out Of Field. ICC takes action

Shakib Al Hasan has invited troubles for himself after his behavior in the virtual semifinal of Nidahas Trophy against Sri Lanka on Friday.

Shakib showed unruly behavior during 19.2 over when Mustafizur Rahman was batting. He got run-out; the umpire was about to give a no-ball but then changed his decision.

This is what irked Shakib Al Hasan; along with Nurul Hasan, he asked his batsmen to come back from the field and not play. This is totally against sportsmanship, isn’t it?

ICC finally takes strict action

ICC’s decision on this matter was awaited since long. Finally, ICC has taken strict action against Shakib Al Hasan and Nurul Hasan. They have been fined 25 percent of match fees and have also got 1 demerit point because they breached Level 1 of ICC Code of Conduct.

ICC says,

“Shakib was found to have breached Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game”, while Nurul was found guilty of violating Article 2.1.2, which deals with “conduct that brings the game into disrepute”.

On Saturday, both Nurul and Shakib accepted their fault and requested to cancel formal hearing.

This was indeed a very bad incident; even match officials had to intervene when Nurul and Thisara had a war of words on field.
