An FIR might be filed against Pandya because of his controversial tweet on B.R Ambedkar. A lower court in Jodhpur has given FIR orders against Pandya.
Few months back, Pandya had posted a controversial tweet against Ambedkar, which invited immense anger. Advocate Dr Meghwal wanted to lodge an FIR against Pandya under SC-ST act, but it was creating some issues.
Meghwal had went to Luni Police station (Jodhpur) to file an FIR but the officials there told him that FIR can’t be filed against such a big cricketer.
After this, Meghwal approached the court; Jodhpur court ordered an FIR against the cricketer.
Not only Pandya, but the court even ordered a lawsuit to be filed against Rajendra Singh (Luni police station incharge), as he had refused to lodge the complaint against him.
Although it is not yet verified whether the tweet was fake or genuine, the court has taken action. Let us wait and see what happens.
