Internet can change a person’s life completely and Ranu Mondal is the latest example to prove this statement. She became an Internet sensation just after a video of her went viral on the social media networks.
Ranu used to beg at Ranaghat railway station in West Bengal and there were many who heard her singing and praised her voice but nobody did anything to help her. However, she got the nickname of Lata of Ranaghat because of her singing skills.
One day while she was singing a popular song of playback singer late Mohd. Rafi at the railway station, she was heard by a software engineer Atindra Chakraborty.
He was amazed to see how melodious Ranu’s voice is and he requested her to sing “Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai” which has originally been sung by the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.
Atindra made a video while Ranu sang the song and he posted it on his social media accounts. Soon the video went viral and people became fans of Ranu. A little later, she also got a makeover at a local beauty parlour.
The popular singer, composer and actor Himesh Reshammiya recognised her talent and took the decision of making Ranu sing a song in his upcoming movie “Happy, Hardy and Heer”.
The song is titled as “Teri Meri Kahani” and a video has been shared by Himesh in which Ranu is seen singing in the recording studio and Himesh is guiding him whenever needed.

The whole story may seem to come out directly from a movie but the fact it that it is a real story and the person who deserves to be praised for it is none other than Atindra Chakraborty.
He is the one who made Ranu popular and he was also with her when she sang a song for Himesh. Atindra is very happy for her and finds it difficult to believe that one of his videos has brought such a big change in someone’s life.
