Nepotism in Bollywood is one of the most talked about topics and many celebrities, especially starkids, have expressed views over it time and again.
Dhvani Bhanushali, the Indian singer, attained popularity and recognition at a very young age and she also has a huge fan following as people love her voice as well as her style of singing. There is no denying the fact that she has proved herself to be very talented but still she is targeted by haters as they call her a product of nepotism.
Dhvani’s father Vinod Bhanushali is the President of Global Marketing and Media Publishing at T-Series and there are some who feel that Dhvani takes undue advantage of her father’s position. Recently during an interview with an entertainment portal, she opened up on the issue of nepotism and her wish to prove that artists who have connections in the industry are also talented and they also work pretty hard.
She recalled one incident when a person commented that she doesn’t need to thank the audience for the 700 million views on the song as he alleged that Dhvani must have bought them with the help of her father and she needs to say thanks to T-Series only. The singer got upset after reading such a comment and thought how dumb that person is and thought whether he even has any idea as to how much money will be needed to buy 700 million views. Moreover, she doesn’t have such a whopping amount to buy so many views.
She also said that whatever she has achieved is not because of her father but due to her hard work. She said that the thinking of people needs to be changed but at the same time, she also thanked the industry for recognizing her talent, making her successful and teaching her many things.
