The Pakistani cricket team got slammed a lot after they got knocked out of the Asia Cup 2023 but what had hurt Pakistani cricket fans more was the defeat against India by 228 runs. The Pakistani team’s poor performance is a matter of concern because the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is going to start from 5 October and the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to conduct a review meeting for analysing the poor performance of Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

However, the former Pak cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq who is currently serving as the chief selector was not happy with this decision of PCB and its chief, Zaka Ashraf to call a review meeting as he was of the opinion that it would be wrong to ask uncomfortable questions to captain and head coach at this moment because a big tournament like the World Cup is pretty close. Inzamam-ul-Haq made it clear to Zaka Ashraf that this is the time to encourage and cheer the players rather than asking them tough questions.

While Inzamam-ul-Haq chose to stay away from the meeting, another controversy erupted after the review meeting as former Pak skipper Mohammad Hafeez resigned from the technical committee of PCB.

My best wishes for Pakistan cricket as always. Pakistan Zindabad”.

Though Inzamam-ul-Haq didn’t attend the meeting, he had a meeting with Zaka Ashraf at Gaddafi stadium for discussion the final squad of Pakistan for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Do you think that these things can affect Pakistan’s World Cup campaign?
