The Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is one of the most loved actors of the country and in his career of two decades, he has proved his talent by playing various roles in movies. While he has played romantic characters in the majority of his movies, he has also played a character of negative shade in “Kaminey” as well as of a violent lover in “Kabir Singh”.
One of the most popular movies of Shahid Kapoor is “Jab We Met” which was directed by Imtiaz Ali and starred Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead. In that film, Shahid played the character of Aditya Kashyap who was a reserved type of person and for some time in the movie, Shahid was seen wearing specs.
In a recent interview, Shahid revealed that he had to make many efforts in order to convince the makers to let him wear glasses. He said that when he talked about him wearing glasses in “Jab We Met”, everyone asked if he is mad, whether the hero wears glasses and how he will sing songs. As per Shahid, he said to the makers that Aditya was thinking of committing suicide in the beginning of the movie before meeting Geet (heroine) and he will remove glasses while singing a song.
Though it was difficult for Shahid to convince the makers, eventually he managed to do that. He said that he felt it would make people see him in a different manner otherwise he was looking the same in all his movies. Shahid further added that it gave him confidence to experiment with his looks in other movies, for example in “Kaminey”, his look was completely different from his earlier films in which he looked clean shaven and boyish.
Shahid Kapoor has some really good projects lined up and there are reports that he and Sanjay Leela Bhansali may come together for a project too.
