UP Hindus Will Observe Fast Of RAMADAN With Muslim Neighbors; Perfect Example Of Religious Harmony

It’s not been many days when issues related to yoga practice were raised and there has been constant debate on it ever since. However, on the other side, there is this Hindu group belonging to Mahoba, UP who has made their mind of observing Roza (fast) with Muslims of neighborhood all through holy Ramadan.

As stated by Bundeli Samaj’s Coordinator, Tara Patkar, “We have decided to observe fast with our Muslim brothers from tomorrow at Udal Chowk crossing in Mahoba. We will be sitting in a group of about 60 persons including at least 25 Hindus and will attend ‘Sehri’ and ‘Iftar’…”

In accordance with him, this step is aimed at two purposes; firstly, spreading a great message for being together in terms of religion, i.e., religious accord and the second one is boosting movement to establish AIIMS in the Mahoba district.

In the words of Patkar, “We want policy makers to acknowledge our unity and take a positive decision for setting up of AIIMS in the district as poor health services in this area affect all, irrespective of caste and creed.”

Further Coordinator of Bundeli Samaj maintained, “Though politics is going on over the issue of performing yoga on International Yoga Day (on June 21), we have invited politicians of all parties to show our unity for a cause.”

Patkar told that more than 1 lakh letters have been written to PM Modi in 18 languages for the campaign of AIIMS-Mahoba.

To quote his words, “Under this campaign, Muslim youths and children wrote to the Prime Minister in Sanskrit while Hindus wrote in Urdu, besides in other languages like Sindhi, Punjabi and Malayalam.”

He added, “Camps were set up at many prominent places like railway stations, bus stops and hospitals to make the campaign a success. Even schools were involved in the campaign.”

Patkar also explained reason for making such a demand by saying that Mahoba is positioned on Bundelkhand’s heart and lacks appropriate services as regards health care.

As said by him, “Patients admitted to primary health centres are referred to Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra and to districts of neighbouring Madhya Pradesh. Setting up AIIMS will help the entire region spread over seven districts in UP and five of MP.”

Additionally, the coordinator has made the claim of this demand being reached the PMO.

Isn’t it an amazing step from this group of Hindus of Uttar Pradesh? Everyone should take a lesson from this and give up all the thoughts which give rise to riots and unnecessary chaos created in the name of religion. What are your views on it? Share it in your comments!
