The relatively less-experienced Indian cricket team has performed pretty well in the recently concluded 3–match ODI series against South Africa as they won the series by 2-1. KL Rahul-led team sealed the series by winning the third ODI by 78 runs, the match was played yesterday at Boland Park, Paarl and the hero of this match for India was Sanju Samson.
Sanju Samson, the cricketer who represents Kerala at the domestic level enjoys a huge fan following and his fans often slam the BCCI for not giving him enough chances but it seems that now dropping Sanju Samson will be very difficult for the selectors.
Sanju Samson played a brilliant knock of 108 runs which included 6 fours and 3 sixes and helped his team in putting up a good total of 296/8 on the scoreboard as the Proteas invited India to bat first after winning the toss. Despite losing the openers early, there was nothing to worry as Sanju Samson ensured that he held wickets from one end. The wicketkeeper-batter was sent at number 3 in the 3rd ODI, the position at which he usually bats in domestic and IPL and he made the maximum use of the opportunity and smashed his first ODI century of the career.
First Sanju Samson stitched a 52-run partnership with skipper KL Rahul (21 runs) and after KL Rahul got out, he stitched a partnership of 116 runs with Tilak Verma (52 runs). Rinku Singh also played a good knock of 38 runs before getting out.
After completing his century, Sanju Samson celebrated his innings with style by flexing his muscles.

While chasing the target of 297 runs, the hosts got all out for 218 runs in 46 overs. The highest scorer for South Africa was Tony de Zorzi (81 runs) and Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh was once again sensational as he took 4 wickets in his 9 overs and gave only 30 runs.
Sanju Samson was adjudged as the Player of the Match and Arshdeep Singh was adjudged as the Player of the Series.
Now India and South Africa will play 2-match test series starting 26 December.
