In a shocking incident, a 27 years old bus attendant was arrested by police on the charges of molesting eight students of class II of a Thane based private school.
The incident happened on Tuesday when the class II students were travelling in the bus as they were going for school picnic and the bus attendant who has been identified as Javed Mohammad Khan inappropriately touched the eight kids of age ranging from 7 to 8 years. The picnic was organized at a theme park in Ghatkopar and the bus attendant molested kids while serving them food when they were heading towards the picnic spot.
The kids informed their parents about this horrific incident after they returned home, the angry and upset parents took up this matter with the school authorities and then they filed a police complaint against the bus attendant on Wednesday.
Inspector Sandeep Dhande told mediapersons that the bus attendant touched the eight kids (six girls and two boys) in an inappropriate manner while giving them food packets. He further said that all the students are of class II and Javed Mohammad Khan has been arrested by the cops.
Javed Mohammad Khan has been booked under the relevant sections of the IPC such as sec 354, 354(A) and 509 and also under the relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
The police is currently investigating the matter and hopefully the truth will come out soon.
