Recently, the actress made her digital debut with Murd*r Mubarak which also starred Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Vijay Varma and others in important roles. The senior actress used to be one of the highest paid actresses of her time and she is also known as Lolo which is her nickname.
Undoubtedly, Lolo is a weird and funny name and recently during an event, Karisma revealed how she got her nickname, Lolo. She stated that her family has a tradition of keeping funny pet names of babies such as Daboo, Chintu and Chipoo. Karisma is the daughter of actor Randhir Kapoor and Babita and she stated that her mother is a fan of Gina Lolo and as her mother is a Sindhi, she used to make Sindhi sweet roti which they call Mithi Loli. She said, “They call the sweet roti lolo, loli in Sindhi. So that’s how I got the name Lolo.”
She further revealed how Kareena Kapoor Khan got her nickname, Bebo, she said, “I got Lolo, and then my sister came, and they were like, ‘Let’s find something funny for her’. She was a baby, so my father called her Bebo.”
