Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most famous actors of the Indian cinema, he made his Bollywood debut with Shahid Kapoor starrer “Farzi” and then he was seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Jawan” in which he played the role of the villain.
Vijay Sethupathi was praised a lot for his performance in the movie “Merry Christmas” in which Katrina Kaif played the female lead.
The actor is currently busy in the promotion of his upcoming movie “Maharaja” which is slated to release on 14 June 2024 and during a promotional event, Vijay Sethupathi became a little aggravated when he was asked about lead actors romancing actresses who have played their sister or daughter in any other film.
Vijay said that he worked with Krithi Shetty in “Uppenna” (2021) and later on when a director asked him about casting Krithi Shetty as his heroine, Vijay refused because in the climax scene of “Uppenna”, Krithi acted as Vijay’s daughter and because of that he didn’t want to work with her as heroine.
Vijay Sethupathi said that even Krithi could have refused as she can say that this man (Vijay) asked me to consider himself as my father in the movie. He said that he had answered this question earlier as well and he asked the journalist to stop asking questions in this regard.
The work culture of North Indian and South Indian film industries is quite different and usually in Bollywood, actors don’t mind romancing actresses who have played their sister in some other movie.
