How do you turn just ₹50 into ₹500 crore? A viral video on social media has been making people laugh by claiming to reveal the answer, though not in the way anyone expected.
The clip shows a man standing in front of a television with diary and pen in hand, completely engrossed in what he is watching. On the screen plays a scene from the film Dhadkan where Suniel Shetty’s character Dev is narrating his incredible rags-to-riches journey. The man watches intently, nodding with admiration as though listening to a real-life business guru.
In the movie, Dev describes how he rose from having nothing in his pocket to building a fortune worth crores. His dramatic story of struggle and resilience, meant to impress Shilpa Shetty’s character Anjali, is delivered with passion. For the man watching, however, it becomes a step-by-step guide to becoming rich.
When Dev recounts how he used to walk endlessly, fall and rise again, bleed and push forward, inspired by Anjali’s voice urging him to take “just one more step”, the man doesn’t miss a beat. He quickly scribbles the supposed “success formula” in his notebook. His notes, filled with words like “walk daily, fall, get up,” complete with blood drop and sun emojis, look like a bizarre but hilarious business plan.
Suniel Shetty’s character Dev said, “Main roz chalta tha, chalte chalte thak jata tha, girta tha, uthta tha, zakhm bharte the, lahu nikalta tha, phir girta tha. Tumhari awaaz suraj ki kirno ki tarah mere dil o dimaag se chir ke nikalti thi aur kehti thi, ‘Ek kadam aur Dev, ek kadam aur’. Phir kadam se kadam mila kar maine ye 50 se 500 crore ka safar tay kiya.”
By the end of the scene, the man appears overjoyed, as if he has finally discovered the ultimate secret to building an empire from scratch. Sharing the clip online, he captioned it with, “How to Make ₹50 into ₹500 Crore. Suniel Shetty teaches us. Make sure it reaches everyone who wants to know the secret.”

The video has quickly gone viral, crossing nearly five lakh views. Social media users flooded the comments with witty reactions. One person joked that the only thing missing for them was “Anjali’s voice,” suggesting that was the true magic behind Dev’s rise. Another quipped that the man must have been crying because of the taxes he had to pay on that ₹500 crore.
Some shared their own tongue-in-cheek “journeys”, saying they leave home with ₹500, spend most of it on snacks like samosas and juice and return home with just ₹50 before collapsing on the bed — dreaming of trying again the next day.
Others offered playful life lessons, with one user commenting that nobody ever truly shares their real business secrets after they become successful. Another user sarcastically praised the scene as “a motivational story to become a billionaire”, insisting the advice should be shared widely.
What started as a dramatic film dialogue from a 2000s Bollywood classic has now found new life on the Internet as a parody of get-rich-quick mantras. While Suniel Shetty’s character in Dhadkan was serious about his journey, the Internet has turned it into a comedy sketch about ambition, struggle and the strange ways people search for inspiration.
In the end, the viral video might not actually help anyone turn ₹50 into ₹500 crore but it has certainly given thousands a reason to laugh, proving once again how Bollywood dialogues can take on a whole new meaning in the age of memes.
