Few stars in Bollywood have managed to combine discipline, humility and boundless energy the way Akshay Kumar has. Decades into his career, the actor continues to live by the same principles that shaped him in his early days — hard work, focus and respect for every project he takes on. Whether it’s performing his own stunts, waking up at dawn for shoots or motivating everyone around him, Akshay’s professionalism has become the stuff of legend.

Choreographer Chinni Prakash recently shared a remarkable story that perfectly captures this spirit. While filming a song for Khiladi, Akshay Kumar had to stand still as over a hundred eggs were hurled at him for a scene. Most actors would have flinched or protested but Akshay didn’t utter a single word of complaint. Chinni recalled that the scene was not only painful but messy, the smell of eggs lingered long after the shoot. Yet, Akshay remained calm, focused and ready for the next take.

Describing him as one of the most hardworking and down-to-earth actors he has ever worked with, Chinni Prakash said that Akshay Kumar has always given his hundred percent on set. Even after working together on 25 to 50 songs over the years, Akshay never once asked to change a single dance step. The choreographer emphasised that fame and success have not altered Akshay’s attitude. “Even twenty years later, he has the same spirit,” Chinni said, recalling that during the filming of Housefull, Akshay showed the same level of dedication he had at the start of his career.
Chinni Prakash also fondly looked back at one of their most memorable collaborations, the iconic song Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast from Mohra (1994). He revealed that when he first heard the track, he thought it sounded too slow as if it is a ghazal and might not work. But Akshay Kumar believed in it completely, assuring everyone it would be a hit. With no one having free dates, the song was shot over three nights, with everyone half-asleep but determined to pull it off. The result became one of the most beloved dance numbers of Bollywood.

Even today, Akshay Kumar’s schedule remains packed. After delivering hits like Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3, he is gearing up for more laughter with Priyadarshan’s upcoming comedies — Bhooth Bangla, Haiwaan, and Hera Pheri 3.
Akshay Kumar’s journey is a testament to how true stars do not just shine, they work relentlessly to keep that light burning bright.
