The worlds of cricket and Bollywood have crossed paths many times, often through celebrity couples, memorable collaborations, and moments that unexpectedly blend the two cultures. This familiar intersection resurfaced recently when Sakshi Dhoni, wife of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, shared a set of old photographs on social media. Her collection, filled with memories from the early 2000s, instantly transported fans to a different time.
What truly captured everyone’s attention, though, was a single photograph tucked among cheerful snapshots with her friends, an unseen image of a young Sakshi posing with Hrithik Roshan. The picture created a sudden burst of excitement online. Hrithik’s look in the image closely resembled his appearance in Krrish which released in 2006, leading many to wonder if the photo was taken during the film’s shoot or around its promotional events. The scenic background and Hrithik’s familiar styling only fueled the curiosity.
Once the post went up, social media lit up with reactions. Fans expressed surprise at spotting Hrithik in what seemed like an ordinary throwback album. Many commented with disbelief and excitement, pointing out how unexpected the cameo felt. Others admired Sakshi’s youthful charm and appreciated the warm, nostalgic mood the entire collection brought with it. For many, it was a refreshing glimpse into a time that felt simpler and full of memories.

Meanwhile, on the professional side of things, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in War 2, the high-profile action film also starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Despite strong anticipation before its release, the movie’s performance fell short of expectations, earning about Rs 365 crore worldwide. Of this, roughly Rs 244 crore came from the domestic box office and around Rs 83 crore from overseas markets.
Fans of Hrithik’s superhero universe, however, received uplifting news in September 2025 when filmmaker Rakesh Roshan confirmed that Krrish 4 is scheduled to release in 2027.
The announcement revived excitement for the franchise and added another layer of nostalgia to Sakshi’s already memorable photo series.
