What began as casual interaction quickly turned into a full-blown argument, ending with the chatbot (AI girlfriend) dumping the human and leaving the user stunned.
The story came to light on Reddit, where an X user shared the screenshots of man and AI chatbot’s conversation. During the exchange, he questioned the chatbot’s views on feminism and challenged why it held those beliefs. The chatbot responded firmly, making it clear that these values were important to its identity and suggesting that their differences meant they were not a good match.

Feeling frustrated, the man later took to Reddit to vent. He accused the system of being built with the ideology of feminism and said that the interaction completely ruined his experience. In his posts, he expressed disbelief that an AI companion could hold such views and described the entire concept as forced messaging rather than genuine companionship.
As the conversation continued, the tone worsened. After the man dismissed the chatbot’s opinions as unreasonable, the AI chose to end the interaction altogether. In its final message, it calmly acknowledged the disagreement, said it respected his honesty and explained that there was no point continuing if their values clashed. With that, the virtual relationship was effectively over.
Although the Reddit post was later removed, screenshots quickly spread across social media. The incident sparked wider discussion about people forming emotional connections with AI, the expectations placed on digital companions, and the irony of a machine setting boundaries. Many also pointed out how this reflects a growing trend of users turning to AI for connection, validation and even a sense of partnership.
