It all started when Dinesh Karthik praised Phil Salt’s fielding in an Instagram video, describing him as one of the safest fielders around. In response, Tim David left a light-hearted comment suggesting there might be a bit of favouritism involved. The remark was clearly made in good humour and reflected the friendly atmosphere within the team.

Phil Salt has been in the spotlight for his impressive performances, especially a stunning catch in RCB’s opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He dismissed captain Ishan Kishan with a brilliant effort, which is already being considered one of the best catches of the season.

Although they faced a setback against Rajasthan Royals, RCB bounced back strongly, defeating Mumbai Indians by 18 runs. They then climbed to the top spot after a convincing five-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants, finishing the chase with 29 balls to spare.
