The unforgettable incident took place on July 13, 2002, when India successfully chased 326 against England in the NatWest Series final at Lord’s. Youngsters Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif played crucial knocks to complete a stunning comeback. Overwhelmed with emotion, Ganguly removed his shirt and waved it from the Lord’s balcony to celebrate the famous win. The celebration came months after England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff had taken off his shirt following England’s victory over India at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Ganguly’s response went on to become one of the most iconic images in Indian cricket and reflected the fearless and aggressive approach he brought to the national team.
