The glamorous world of 1990s Bollywood came with an exhausting side that fans rarely got to see. Raveena Tandon recently revealed just how hectic the work schedules of leading actresses were during that era, recalling her own experience alongside Karisma Kapoor.
During her appearance on the semi-final episode of a dance reality show, Raveena Tandon spoke about the intense pace at which she and Karisma worked. She recalled that the two actresses would sometimes shoot for what felt like 36 hours in 24 hours.
According to Raveena Tandon, she and Karisma were among the few actresses of the 90s who constantly moved between different film productions. On some days, they reportedly worked across six different sets in a single day, spending around two hours at one location, one-and-a-half hours at another, three hours somewhere else and four hours at yet another set.
The demanding routine became so hectic that they could sometimes lose track of the characters they were playing. Raveena Tandon recalled that they would simply follow whatever the production required at each set. She also joked that despite working on six different productions, they could end up portraying essentially the same type of role without even having time to process the change.
Karisma Kapoor also joined in with a funny memory from those days. She revealed that much of their shooting happened at Film City, where their schedules often began as early as 7 am. The two actresses would frequently cross paths while rushing from one set to another, changing costumes along the way and immediately heading to their next shoot.
The nostalgic conversation took place when Raveena Tandon appeared as the special guest on the semi-final episode of a dance reality show. The episode brought Raveena and judge Karisma Kapoor together, leading to plenty of laughter and memories about their extremely demanding Bollywood schedules in the 1990s.
