Highest Grossing Bollywood Movies 2026: Top 10 Box Office List - RVCJ Media

Key takeaways

  • Dhurandhar: The Revenge leads 2026 with about Rs 1,813 crore worldwide gross as per Sacnilk.
  • Border 2 and Hanuman Ansh follow, both above Rs 430 crore worldwide.
  • Drishyam: The Conclusion crossed Rs 383 crore worldwide in seven days and is still running.
  • Figures are trade estimates and vary between Sacnilk, Bollywood Hungama and other sources.

As of 12 October 2026, the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2026 is Dhurandhar: The Revenge, with a worldwide gross of about Rs 1,813 crore as per Sacnilk. Border 2, Hanuman Ansh and Drishyam: The Conclusion follow, each well above Rs 380 crore worldwide. Figures are trade estimates and differ from source to source.

2026 has been a strong year for Hindi films at the ticket window. Sacnilk’s quarterly report says Hindi films alone collected Rs 997.20 crore net in India between July and September, more than any other Indian language in that period. Below is the full top 10, with worldwide and India figures and where each number comes from.

Highest grossing Bollywood movies 2026: the top 10 table

The list is ranked by worldwide gross. India net is the domestic collection after GST, which is the figure trade sites usually quote for “crore club” milestones. All figures are in Rs crore and were checked on 12 October 2026.

Rank Film (release date) Worldwide gross India net Source
1 Dhurandhar: The Revenge (19 March) 1,813.39 1,149.30 (all languages) Sacnilk
2 Border 2 (23 January) 450.19 329.43 Sacnilk
3 Hanuman Ansh (7 August) 435.37 334.48 (Hindi and Telugu) Sacnilk
4 Drishyam: The Conclusion (2 October) 383.60 after 7 days, still running 245.50 after 7 days Sacnilk
5 Mirzapur The Movie (4 September) 339.55 230.31 Sacnilk
6 Bhooth Bangla (17 April) 259 169.40 Pinkvilla
7 Dhamaal 4 (10 July) 230.17 167.88 Sacnilk
8 Awarapan 2 (14 August) 213.01 150.59 Sacnilk
9 Welcome To The Jungle (26 June) 192.75 134.11 Sacnilk
10 Cocktail 2 (19 June) Not verified 92.09 Bollywood Hungama

Note: Cocktail 2 is placed at number 10 on its India figure, since we could not confirm a worldwide total from a trade source. Release dates are from Bollywood Hungama’s 2026 box office listing.

Why box office figures differ by source

If you compare two websites, you will rarely see the same number for the same film. That is normal, and it happens for a few clear reasons.

  • Net vs gross: India net removes GST from ticket sales. India gross includes it. Worldwide numbers are almost always gross, so they look much bigger than India net.
  • Language versions: Some trackers add dubbed versions to the total. Sacnilk’s Rs 1,149.30 crore India net for Dhurandhar: The Revenge covers all five languages, while Bollywood Hungama lists Rs 1,108.09 crore for the Hindi version.
  • Tracking method: Sites collect data from different theatre chains and ticketing platforms, and some update less often than others. Sacnilk itself says its figures are compiled from various sources and may differ from producer figures.
  • Producer numbers: Studios sometimes announce their own totals, which can be higher than independent trade estimates.

So treat every number in this list as an estimate. The ranking is more reliable than the exact figure.

1. Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller sequel, also called Dhurandhar 2, is far ahead of everything else this year. Sacnilk puts its worldwide gross at Rs 1,813.39 crore, with Rs 1,375.39 crore gross from India and Rs 438 crore from overseas. Bollywood Hungama recorded a Rs 90 crore opening day for the Hindi version and a Rs 649 crore first week.

That gap of more than Rs 1,300 crore between number one and number two shows how unusual its run was.

Why it leads: a huge opening, release in five languages, and strong overseas business.

2. Border 2

The war drama sequel opened on 23 January, ahead of the Republic Day weekend. Sacnilk estimates Rs 329.43 crore India net, Rs 392.94 crore India gross and Rs 57.25 crore overseas, taking it to Rs 450.19 crore worldwide. Bollywood Hungama’s India figure is slightly higher at Rs 341.70 crore.

Why it worked: a holiday release window and steady collections over many weeks.

3. Hanuman Ansh

Hanuman Ansh is the biggest surprise of the year. Bollywood Hungama recorded an opening day of just Rs 0.10 crore, yet the film has now gone past Rs 319 crore in India by its count. Sacnilk puts the total at Rs 334.48 crore India net and Rs 435.37 crore worldwide, which includes a Telugu version released on 9 October.

Sacnilk named it the highest grossing Indian film of the July to September quarter across all languages. You can read more about its young producer in our story on Hanuman Ansh producer Anupriya Nagar.

Why it stands out: it built its total slowly over several weeks instead of relying on a big opening.

4. Drishyam: The Conclusion

Ajay Devgn’s thriller, with Jaideep Ahlawat, is the newest film on this list and is still in theatres. Sacnilk reported a worldwide gross of Rs 383.60 crore after seven days, which made it Ajay Devgn’s highest grossing film worldwide, ahead of Singham Again. By Bollywood Hungama’s count, it had crossed Rs 300 crore in India by its second weekend.

Its rank is likely to change in the coming weeks. Our Drishyam: The Conclusion review has more on the film itself.

Why watch the numbers: it is the only film in the top five still adding big daily collections.

5. Mirzapur The Movie

The film version of the hit web series, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, released on 4 September. Sacnilk’s latest figures show Rs 230.31 crore India net, Rs 65.50 crore overseas and Rs 339.55 crore worldwide gross. Bollywood Hungama recorded a Rs 90.95 crore opening weekend.

Why it matters: it showed that a streaming franchise can pull a large crowd into theatres.

6. Bhooth Bangla

Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy released on 17 April. Pinkvilla reported that it closed its run at about Rs 259 crore worldwide gross, with Rs 169.40 crore net in India and Rs 55 crore from overseas. Bollywood Hungama’s India figure is Rs 168.26 crore, which is close.

Best for: fans of family comedy with a horror angle.

7. Dhamaal 4

The comedy franchise returned on 10 July. Sacnilk estimates Rs 167.88 crore India net, Rs 30.85 crore overseas and Rs 230.17 crore worldwide gross. It was the third biggest Hindi film of the July to September quarter in Sacnilk’s report.

Best for: viewers who enjoy ensemble slapstick comedy.

8. Awarapan 2

Released on 14 August, Awarapan 2 earned Rs 150.59 crore net in India and Rs 213.01 crore worldwide gross, as per Sacnilk. Along with Hanuman Ansh, it helped make August the strongest month for Hindi films in the quarter, when Hindi held 45.2% of the total Indian theatrical market by Sacnilk’s count.

Why it matters: it is one of four Hindi films from the July to September quarter in this top 10.

9. Welcome To The Jungle

The third film in the Welcome series opened on 26 June. Sacnilk’s figures show Rs 134.11 crore India net, Rs 159.15 crore India gross and Rs 33.60 crore overseas, for a worldwide gross of Rs 192.75 crore.

Best for: large group comedy with a big star cast.

10. Cocktail 2

The film released on 19 June and, as per Bollywood Hungama, collected Rs 92.09 crore in India. That places it ahead of other mid-year releases such as Main Vaapas Aaunga (Rs 65.31 crore) and Alpha (Rs 57.72 crore) on the same site’s India figures.

Key trends from the 2026 Hindi box office

  1. One giant, many hits: Dhurandhar: The Revenge alone earned more worldwide than the next four films combined.
  2. Franchises dominate: eight of the top 10 are sequels or part of an existing franchise, including Border 2, Dhamaal 4 and Drishyam: The Conclusion.
  3. Slow burners still work: Hanuman Ansh grew from a tiny opening to a Rs 300 crore plus India total.
  4. The second half is busier: Hindi films earned Rs 459.18 crore net in August alone, as per Sacnilk.

How to check the latest box office numbers yourself

  1. Open Sacnilk’s film page and look for both “India Net” and “Worldwide Gross”. Check the “last updated” date.
  2. Compare with Bollywood Hungama’s box office section, which lists India figures by release date.
  3. For running films, read figures as “so far” totals. Daily numbers usually drop on weekdays and rise on weekends.
  4. When a site quotes a single big number, check whether it is net or gross and whether dubbed versions are included.
