A film that started its box office journey with just ₹10 lakh on its opening day has now turned into one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026. Hanuman Ansh has reportedly crossed ₹435 crore worldwide and its remarkable success has caught the attention of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who recently praised the film’s 21-year-old producer Anupriya Nagar.
Sanjay Dutt shared a picture with Anupriya Nagar on Instagram and congratulated her on achieving so much at such a young age. The actor said he had seen many films come and go but what Anupriya had accomplished with Hanuman Ansh at just 21 was truly remarkable.
He also appreciated her passion and ability to bring people together, crediting the support and blessings of others for helping a small film reach such a huge audience. Sanjay ended his message by expressing how proud he was of the young producer and promising to support her in her future projects. He wished her well and said that her journey is only beginning.

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The film tells the story of Neeb Karori Baba, also known as Neem Karoli Baba, a spiritual teacher and devotee of Lord Hanuman.
Shobhinaw Satyaa plays the lead role in the movie and his performance has received appreciation for presenting the spiritual figure in a simple and natural manner, without exaggerated expressions or unnecessary dramatic gestures.
When Hanuman Ansh was released on August 7, 2026, there was little indication that it would achieve such extraordinary box office success. The film was reportedly made on a budget of just ₹2 crore and collected only ₹10 lakh on its first day. Even after two weeks, its total collection stood at around ₹1.5 crore.

However, the film began gaining momentum in its third week. More people started visiting theatres after hearing positive feedback from other viewers. Social media discussions and strong word of mouth gradually helped the film attract a much larger audience.
By mid-October, Hanuman Ansh had reportedly collected more than ₹395.83 crore in domestic gross earnings. Its worldwide collection has now crossed ₹435 crore, while its earnings in India are approaching the ₹400 crore mark. With these numbers, Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of India’s biggest hits of 2026, ranking behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
The film’s journey from a modest opening to a worldwide collection of over ₹435 crore has become a remarkable box office story. Sanjay Dutt’s appreciation has also brought fresh attention to Anupriya Nagar, the young producer behind the unexpected success.
