As it’s crystal clear now that Aamir Khan has been removed from the campaign of Incredible India most probably for his statement that he gave with regard to “growing intolerance in India”, there are speculations in connection with the next actor who will endorse the campaign. And it would not at all be surprising if we tell you that the actor who has replaced Mr. Perfectionist is none other than Megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

As per a source of Tourism Ministry, “Amitabh Bachchan will be the first choice of the ministry for the job.” However, the source further said that Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra too have been considered for the same.

As stated by Mahesh Sharma, Tourism Minister, “It was the (private) agency which has hired him. Since the contract with the agency is no more, automatically the arrangement with the actor no longer exists.”

According to Aamir, he respects the decision of government as well as maintained that all ads he did for “Atithi Devo Bhava” campaign were absolutely free of any cost on his part.
