As we know that Kiku Sharda aka Palak of Comedy Nights With Kapil was accused of hurting the religious sentiment by mimicking Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, a case was filed against the actor and later on, he was taken into custody and sent for a 14-day judicial custody under IPC section 295 A. The arrest has been made on the complaint of a Dera Sacha follower named Uday Singh.
Kiku apologized before media subsequent to being arrested and maintained that he’s just a performer and presented the programme on the directions of the channel and programme producers”. This is what he tweeted for apologizing earlier:
The actor further added, “I was given a dress, script to read and directed to act.” As per him, he was detained for mimicking; however, not any action had been taken against Colors TV as well as others.
