A Gurgaon lady of 22 has allegedly been raped for 2 months by a man of 27 whom she befriended on Facebook, as per cop. What’s more, the man also made a promise of marrying her, police stated on January 29, 2016. She lives in Rewari and is running a boutique for past few years. According to the woman, the guy broke up with her on the claim of her belonging to some other caste. An FIR has been lodged against the accused Amit Sharma who lives in Sector 23 but he’s not detained yet.
In the words of SHO Civil Lines, Bijender Singh Hooda, “The accused is absconding and we are conducting raids to arrest him. We have taken out the CDR report of the accused and, based on technical investigation, we will arrest him soon.”
Amit sent a friend request on social media to the lady about 7 months back and ever since, chat conversation began between them and after some time, they met. The man made a promise of marrying her, took her in different places in the course of relationship and raped her.
But it was only few days back that he asked her to discontinue the relation and that he won’t be marrying her since they both are from different caste. Not only this, he didn’t pick up her calls after 17th January. She didn’t have any idea about his home or living place but the cop looked for him in a gym where he has been serving as gym instructor; however, he couldn’t be found there.
