On Monday, 5 persons have been detained with regard to Dipti’s kidnap. The 24-yr Snapdeal employee came back safely last week subsequent to huge search operation conducted by cop and a good deal of support from social media.
According to Dharmendra Singh, Ghaziabad SSP, this all was done by a psychopath who was in a one-sided love with Dipti. In his words, “It is just like a case portrayed in Bollywood movie ‘Darr’ where Shah Rukh Khan is involved in a one-sided affair. The prime accused was just like a psycho and lived in a virtual reality. The criminals are hardcore. We are verifying whether the men are auto drivers or not.”
As per the officers, the accused was following the woman for more than one year after seeing her in a metro for the first time; though he did not hurt her because his aim was getting affection and love from the woman.
This is what Dipti stated in this connection, “I never had an inkling that someone could be following me as the Metro is crowded and I always boarded the ladies compartment. I remained puzzled throughout the abduction as to where and why I was being taken. Also it was strange that even after abducting me, they did not harm me.”
An auto and a car have been recovered and all the 5 people who have been taken into custody had no link with Dipti, as per cop. The arrest took place on Sunday evening after Ghaziabad Police reconstructed the crime scene from Hindon river to village Morti with the help of Dipti. The lady came her home back on Friday and according to her, 4 men who were indulged in her kidnapping set her free and dropped the victim at a suburban railway station.
Dipti was kidnapped on Wednesday evening while traveling in a shared autorickshaw in Ghaziabad at the time of returning home from office.
