Last week, after a Snapdeal employee was kidnapped from Delhi, police stated that the accused was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Darr’ movie. The superstar was asked his opinions for the same.
The actor stated that actors obviously have a great impact on fans and he feels that they affect people positively rather than negatively. The work of an actor influences people in a bigger way than he actually thinks. Filmmakers don’t make a story to give negative inspiration. Unfortunately, it is the mindset of people which makes them get affected negatively.
Darr film was a story of an obsessive lover who could do anything for the woman he loved and he goes ahead with that. However, this doesn’t mean that the movie inspires negatively. The actor believes that the film touches people’s lives and inspires them positively.
Police arrested 5 men yesterday on Monday for kidnapping Dipti Sharma, the Snapdeal employee last week. Police stated that the main accused was a psychopath who had run away from a jail in Haryana and had been behind her since months, being inspired from ‘Darr’. Juhi-Chawla and makers Hansal Mehta and Mahesh Bhatt say that Bollywood isn’t to be blamed for this.
