It is definitely an expensive affair to own an iPhone and not everyone can afford it. However, iPhone is so popular that some people are using the weirdest ways to get hold of it. Yes, a Chinese couple has just done something like this. An 18 month old baby was put up on sale by 19 year old parents so that a bike and an iPhone can be afforded.
As per our sources, an ad was put up by the parents on social media network with a Rs. 2.38 lakh price tag on their daughter. The worst part is that a buyer actually contacted her father. Since it was an unwanted pregnancy for the couple Duan and Xiao (names changed), the kid was no more than a ‘financial burden’.
The buyer has purchased the baby for his sister and still has her. Authorities are tracking him now. As of now, a 3 year jail term has been awarded to Duan and a suspended sentence for 2.5 years has been handed to Xiao.
As per the reports, around 20,000 babies are kidnapped and sold online openly each year.
